Launching IE8 opens it right away, but then hangs 3-8 minutes before displaying our home page (sharepoint page.)
if you click into IE8 after opening it, it says "Not responding." If you leave it alone for a while, the home page finally comes up and you can browse to other pages, open new tabs, etc at normal speed.
If you open a second instance of IE8, you have to wait for that one, while the original instance is still usable. I enabled debugging on the symantec client and the only thing I see in there that is applicable (closed network, cannot provide logs unfortunately) is "ah: setting the browser session end option & resetting the url session"
This appears to be only for non admin accounts, but IE is clearly chewing on something during that time frame.
I have searched for the issue to no avail. Firewall policy on SEPM is not enabled.
I was originally thinking it was caused by my Event Viewer>Application logs that indicated Liquid Machines was trying to invoke SymCorpUI.exe, Smcgui.exe, but I uninstalled Liquid Machine on a client and tested again, but the IE problem persists
Can anyone assist with this?
Many thanks!
