We have the following issue. SEPM is version 12.1 RU3. We started upgrade of our environment which consists of server OS. They are on version 11 (RU6, RU7, RU7 MP1 etc). I have pushed package version 12.1 RU3 to 100 servers and when I go to Clients tab in the console it is showing under "Restart required" No. I can confirm that these servers downloaded the upgrade package because I logged on few of them just to check and the package was there.
Also I have tested on my VM the same situation, and Restart required was showing as YES, even after several heartbeats.
Checked this article but doesn't seem to be the same in my situation: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH186939
because on the VM test machine after several heartbeats it still shows Restart required - YES.
Any idea what might be the issue?
