Symantec picking up files created by another program

We have a SEPM on 12.1.3 that is currently also looking after 4 servers on Linux with SAV on them.

Currently a program on these servers is creating files that SAV is then picking up as Suspicious.MH690 file which SEP is then quarenting before the orginal program is getting a chance to remove them properly.

As currently the SEPM will only allow windows and MAC exceptions is there any way to get SAV to exclude these files?
