I need a solution

Hello,

This is my first time posting. Apologies if this is not the correct maner or place.  I'm needing help with and issue that is documented to be solved, but the solution does not work for my build server Windows 2008 R2 64bit.

I installed the SEP 12.1 agent today on my build server, now my builds will fail intermently with the following error:

[mt.exe: Failed to write the updated manifest to the resource of file "..\..\some.dll". Access is denied.]

I have included the following to the servers registry:

“HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\AV\Storages\Filesystem\RealTimeScan” (64 bit Operating System)

4. Click Edit > New > DWORD Value
5. Name the new value: DeferredScanning
6. Open DeferredScanning
7. In the Value data field add “0” (1 = on, 0 = off)

I have read that turning off autoprotect will solve this issue, but I am not the Symantec admin and do not have right to do that.

Any other work arounds or solutions?

Thanks!
