I have two identically built Solaris 10 servers, running SCSP 5.2.8, with the same prevention / detection policies applied to box servers. On one server, I can run the sisipsconfig tool just fine, with expected results. On the other server, when i run the sisipsconfig tool, it comes back with an error, that it can't write to agent.ini. A comparison of files shows the same attributes for both servers, with one exception: doing an ls -la on /opt/Symantec/scspagent/IPS as the sisips user does not show the cert directory on the bad server. The good server shows the cert directory...
We've tried reinstalling the agent, which changes the modification times on the files, but has no effect on the error. Has anyone seen this type of thing before?
