USB Storage Devices Not Recognized

Having issues accessing any USB storage devices on a works laptop. The laptop is running Windows 7 SP1 and Encryption Desktop 10.3.2 [Build 15238] (PGP SDK 4.2.1). Plugging in any other USB peripheral such as keyboards, mice etc all work fine but not storage devices (i.e. Pen Drives, External Hard Disks). If I remove Encryption Desktop from the laptop, USB storage devices then connect as normal, strange?

 

Does anyone know why this happening, or how to resolve the problem?

 

Laptop: Samsung ATIV Book 9 Plus (running latest (UK) driver set from Samsung)
