Hi all,
For about one month we have faced this issue. The server works ok during the day but at some time in the night, it hungs up so when I come to the office in the morning I have to reset the virtual server (not restart because it doesn't accept that order) and then it works ok as I said.
I saw that the process named httpd.exe is consuming a lot of NP memory so I think that the issue is related with memory handle, paging and things like that. I investigated a lot and I'll show you the things that I already tried with no success.
- Cancelled the backup job of the VM.
- Update and then reinstall the VmTools (because I saw some relationship between the time of the issue on the system log and the app log).
- Manual migration og the VM to diferent hosts and with different users.
- Change the connection tipe (PULL instead of PUSH) and heartbeat.
- Change some registry values to cleanup the page file at 60% instead of 80% as default on the OS.
- Increment the pagefile.
- Increase the physical memory
- Register some DCOM components again (changing some permissions).
The only thing that worked was restart the server at 6:00 p.m. so the server didn't hung during the night, but yes did the day after.
The OS is Windows Server Enterprise 2008 x64.
RAM: 8gb
Free Sapce on disk: 13.9gb
SEPM version: 12.1.4
clients on SEPM: 3058 (online: 2500)
We worked with a lot of differents locations and subnets so we use IpSec to block the traffic during the day and release it after 5:00 p.m. but the blocked IP are not the mayor.
Hope you can help
Thanks in advance
