Hello Friends,

A few times I tried to install Symantec in Windows 10 OS, it uses to ask for a certificate and gets installation failed. Then I use to try installation by downloading the setup from setting manually. Is there any solution to install with manual setup download.

It's OK for SEPM and Clients except clients instaling in windows 8.1 Professionel;

ICT 15.5 (MP2) installation fails due to IIS missing error

I need a solution

Hello all,

I tried a very long time to solve this issue but now I decided to ask for help.

I'm trying to install ICT15.5 MP2 version on a Windows Server 2016, with MS SQL 2017.
I strictly followed the deployment guide from Symantec ICT and used some very helpful guides (LINK) from this forum.
Unfortunately, I always get the error as shown on the attached screenshot.

Configuration on IIS looks like this:

My AD configuration is following:

I have no ideas anymore where to look at. Any kind of help is appreciated.

I know it is all in German. Please let me know if I should translate anything.

I tried the setup also on Windows Server 2019. Same results.
Now I'm preparing Windows Server 2012 for the setup. The reason is because I saw the DEMO Lab is running on Windows Server 2012 and I also a lot of users (Forum) are running Windows Server 2012 as their platform.

Please let me know if any information is missing.

BTW. does anyone has ICT 15.5 MP2 running successfully on Windows Server 2016 or higher?

I need a solution

Is there a way to whitelist or suppress alarms for "Network and Host Exploit Mitigation and Compliance Events" based on the source AND destination IP address. We have whitelisted our Vulnerability scanner IP addresses in SEPM, however there are some servers running JAVA services that "reflect" the request to thier loopback IP address. When the scan occurs, we receive alerts where the scan appears to originate from the scanned IP and is destined to the loopback "127.0.0.1". 

We could suppress the alarms by whitlisting the specific IP addresses, however if they become compromised and start attacking other hosts we will not see it. If we could whitelist the specific source and destination pair, the specific activity would be omitted without blinding us to everything that originate from that host.

Endpoint is disabled, i can't fix it

I need a solution

Hi, guys

I have a endpoint that is disabled ( or a component is ) buti can't find the solution.

The endpoint is part of a group which has 15 other endpoints without this problem. 

the only thing that seems different is that on this endpoint it says that WSS Trafic is malfuctioning, none of the other endpoint has WSS installed because it is disabled by policy.

I can't delete the client, i tried but this triggers another problem and i had to put a backup back.

The client policy and the group policy match numbers.

I run Symdiag on mutiple servers to see if there are any differences and there arent any.

How can i solve this ?

Folks,

I have a situation where, I need to move an existing endpoint servers(with reporting agents) from 15.0MP1 application server  to a 15.1MP2 app server. Is there any way I can preserve  the transfer of the configurations of the  endpoint server(15.0MP1)  during my ugrade to 15.1MP1 or MP2 to register it to the new Enforce server(15.1MP2)?

Full Scan

I need a solution

I am trying to set a policy to run a scan of the C:\ drive only. I have read conflicting articles. What does the full scan scan? Does it scan just the C: or does it scan all network drives and drives attached via USB, etc. I want to push this out using the SEP manager.

I know that I can scan just the C: drive on individual pc's, but I want to push a policy instead of touching everyone.

Cloning SEP Manager VM

Hi guys, we are going to be cloing/replicating our SEP Manager VM running 14.1 to Azure.

The hostname will remain the same but the IP address will change.

I've seen a few articles explaining how to migrate SEPM to another server but is there a process for cloning the VM that I can follow?

is it the DR process I should follow?

Hello,

from some reason inside Symantec Endpoint Encryption Manager I don’t se status informations from some clients (like "Last Check-In", encryption status, "Encryption Type", and all others, except "Computer Name" which is only what is visible)

Except when user manually click "Check In" or after first login in OS - but only for aprox 5minutes - after that they desapier.

How often SEE client need to check SEE Manager on server?

Is there any way how to check or manage this? To me it looks like some clients contacting server only one time - for excample only when user login to OS.

We are using same created agents: 11.3.0  and all machines are Windows 10 v1903 (machines with this issue and without)

Hi,

We are a ISP in Poland and got a complain from one of our customers in the last days. We received a Message that one of our IP is blacklisted somewhere at symantec.

If we go to the https://ipremoval.sms.symantec.com/ and check the IP We get the feedback that the IP don't have a bad reputation.

Can you check IP 51.75.62.100 for me or give me an information where it can be delisted?

I'm new to this world of Altiris, my expert is strong in SCCM. I'm using Symantec Management Console 8.5 (last version) and I need to check the network segments that are currently loaded in the console (similar to Boundaries in SCCM): can someone tell me how to check that configuration?

In the same way, I must carry out a search for equipment across the entire network, but I don't have the network segments: can this action be done?
