I recently rebuilt my DR SEP server and am trying to establish a replication between them, but i'm having a problem with the initial data-dump. These servers are using the Embedded database.
My Database file is 11GB, my production system has 14GB free, and my DR server has 20GB free. I read somewhere to expect 3x size of the database to be needed in free space (33 in my case). Since I can't do this, what are my options? I've cleaned up the production server as best as I can, so to get more space I have to shrink the SEM5 file and lose log files I would prefer to keep.
I was wondering if it was possible to copy the file over manually and just replicate that way, or if there is any other 'data-seed' style that I can do to help kick the first round of replication off the ground. I know my space is sufficient after that initial synchronization is completed.
any help is appreciated.
