DLP Data Identifiers: Match by Pre/Suffix

We have DLP 11.6.2 installed on a Windows Server 2008 R2 box and I am trying to add as a set of identifiers various Med/Surgical prefixes and suffixes but not quite sure how to go about constructing the Data Idetifier policy.  Would I list this as a pattern?  How would I format the pattern?  Or would I simply add them under keyword matching?  Also can't seem to find the Admin Guide.
