We recently purchased some Dell XPS 12 ultrabooks (win 8.1) and were having some strange performance issues when they awake from sleep. Im not trying to blame SEP for the issues but was wondering if there are any settings for these types of machines that are recommended or not recommended.
Quick Rundown.
When the machine wakes it acts like its grinding away at trying to restore settings. Example: when you open Explorer the drives will show but no icons and when you try and click something it lags real bad. Opening and closing windows have a bad lag and it can take mintues for the background and icons to fully appear. I only started looking at SEP because when i run process monitor i see SEP flooding the pages during this time.
I pretty much have SEP configured default with the standard policies.
All these issues could be an array of problems with Windows 8.1 or hardware for the xps, but im just trying to cover all my angles here.
