I'm having trouble configuring virus & spyware protection and exceptions policy for our NetBackup environment as it scans all files when backed up and obviously taking extremely long when running backups.
Under Auto Protect > Advanced Scanning and Monitoring I've selected "Scan when a file is modified" and unselected "Scan when a file is backed up".
Under the Exceptions policy I've added the C:\Program Files\Veritas\NetBackup, C:\Program Files\Veritas\NetBackupDB and C:\Program Files\Veritas\Volmgr folders to not be scanned.
On this link http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH152328 it specifies the "processes" to be excluded, but then my question is won't it be excluded as it's running from the BIN folder which is in the NetBackup folder which is already excluded?
And my last question is, Where do you set the scanner to scan inbound traffic only?
